General information

When processing your order you will receive an email with the tracking number of your package to monitor online the progress of real-time delivery.

The products on sale are for the most part, rare wines. We advise you to choose a suitable delivery according to product quality, namely Chronopost to prevent shipped wines remain too long in shipping platforms.

To ensure the best service, your package is insured up to its value (total price including shipping).

Despite all our precautions, this insurance does not cover the leaks of plugs and possible subjective disappointments during tasting of your purchase.

           IMPORTANT :

Upon receipt of your package, you have to:

• Carefully control the status and content of the package and clearly express reservations on the delivery note if applicable (breakage , damage or missing). Within 48 hours of receipt of goods, the buyer agrees to make these reservations by registered letter with return receipt to the carrier, with a copy to the seller, Special Wine. After this period no claim will be taken into account.
• Refuse the package if proved sensitive. If there is a problem, we advise you to choose this solution. 

Time limit

Delivery must take place no later than 30 days after the order.

While every effort is made to comply by the deadline, the limit is given for information purposes, a delay in delivery can not give rise to a penalty or compensation of any kind, or to cancel the order. The delays are unfortunetely beyond our control ; they are the responsibility of the carrier. We can not be held responsible for delays caused.

For Metropolitan France, the times indicated below reflect the commitment and So Colissimo 48h and Chronopost 24. For delivery in Corsica, So Colissimo ad within 72h unsecured. For the Overseas, Colissimo delivers in 5 to 9 days and Chronopost (Chrono Express) in 2 to 3 days . For 1 and 2 Europe areas, Chrono Express delivers in 24/48h and Chrono Classic in 72/96h.

Thus, so that the packages do not stagnate in the warehouses of the carriers on weekends, and to shorten as well as the time of bottles in transit : 

- Deliveries by Chronopost 24h et Colissimo 48h to metropolitan France (as well as Monaco and Andorra) leave from our cellars, in Burgundy, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

- Deliveries to Europe by Chrono Express leave from our cellars, in Burgundy, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

- Deliveries by Chrono Classic leave from our cellars, in Burgundy, on Mondays and Tuesdays according to the destination time (for example shipping to Finland, Greece,..., are made only on Mondays).

- Shipments to Overseas leave from our cellars, in Burgundy, only Mondays.

- We do not ship any packages on Fridays *.

For a delivery in metropolitan France (as well as Monaco and Andorra) :

* Deadlines may also be a somewhat streched for deliveries in Corsica, Monaco and Andorra.

* For the reasons explained above, we do not ship on Fridays ; however, at the special request of a customer who would like a delivery in metropolitan France, we have the option to ship a package on Friday afternoon by Chronopost 24h with a delivery on Saturday morning ; this case remains at the discretion of Special Wine team and it does not engage him in case of non-compliance with the deadline by the carrier.                                                                                                                      

Delivery country

Orders can be shipped in the following countries:

France, Monaco, Andorra, Italia, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Greece, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Danemark, DOM TOM ((Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélémy, Saint-Martin, La Réunion).

Shipping Cost

Delivery costs depend on the country of destination, the amount of your order and / or the number of selected bottles.

For orders over 36 bouteilles, please contact us.

Shipping is free in metropolitan France (and Monaco) :

• For orders worth more than 500€, Colissimo / Chronopot shipping is free.
  
• For orders worth more than 2000€, Chronopost Classic shipping is free in Europe.
  

Delivery terms

You can choose a home delivery or a relay point (it could be your post office).

It is also possible to choose a withdrawal at our headquarters at Cluny, in Burgundy (choice made in "Shipping" section). Do not hesitate to contact us if you want more information about this possibility contact@special-wine.com.

Finally, for very special orders, the website reserves the right to make a private delivery. However, this option can not be chosen by the client ; it remains at the sole discretion of the Special Wine Site founders.

Upon confirmation of the order and payment, the order is prepared for shipment. The accuracy of information stated by the buyer during the order taking is the buyers responsibility. In case of error in the address of the recipient or incomplete information, Special Wine can not be held responsible for failure in which it could deliver the package.

Packing my order

                         Packaging Vidéo Special Wine

The old vintages are sensitive to long trips, we take extreme care to prepare our dispatches. Special Wine's packaging guarantees optimal transport of your precious bottles.

To ensure optimal thermal and physical protection when transporting your bottles , we use packaging molded polystyrene. Polystyrene is the material that prevents the maximum any sudden temperature change.

By being both isothermal, balanced, lightweight, unbreakable and environmentally friendly (100% recyclable and reusable) Special Wine packaging ensures optimal transport of your precious bottles.

Some of our bottles will be shipped with a protective film to preserve the state of the labels of some old vintages.
